Ukraine born Russian pianist Vitaly Pisarenko won First Prize at the 8th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht, the Netherlands in April 2008. Vitaly’s prodigious tour schedule, involving world-wide engagements, commenced straight after the Finals with an appearance at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Damian Iorio.
Vitaly Pisarenko had his first public recital at the age of 6. Following his first musical training at music schools in Kiev (with Natalia Romenskaya) and Kharkov (with Garry Gelfgat), he graduated from the Moscow’s Central Music School (1999-2005) under the guidance of Professor Yuri Slesarev and the State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (2005 – 2010), completing his studies with a postgraduate course (2010 – 2013). In between 2005 and 2009 he was enrolled in a postacademic programme at the Rotterdam’s Codarts Conservatory as a pupil of Aquiles Delle Vigne. From 2009 to 2012 Vitaly was also a student of Oxana Yablonskaya at her Piano Institute in Italy.
In 2013 Vitaly made his debut in South Korea performing at the Seoul Arts Centre with the KBS Symphony Orchestra. He particitpated at several prestigious festivals including the International Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki (Poland), the Euro Music Festival in Halle (Germany), The Grachtenfestival (Amsterdam) and the Diaghilev Festival (St. Petersburg). In 2014 he returned to Belgium for the “De biecht van Liszt” tour with the actor Warre Borgmans and he also performed a number of solo recitals and concerts with orchestras in USA, Italy, China and UK (Cadogan Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, Elgar Room of Royal Albert Hall).
In 2018 Vitaly performed intensively in the UK and appeared in the Oxford Piano Series, BMS York, Champs Hill, Erin Arts Centre (Isle of Man), Manchester (with the soloists of Manchester Camerata) and Hatchlands; he also performed in London for the Chopin Society, St Martin in the Fields, Parliament Chambers, Chelsea Arts Club and at Cadogan Hall with the London Mozart Players. International highlights of 2018-2019 include performances in Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Turkey (Istanbul Recital Series), China (Hong Kong City Hall) and a South African tour.
